Collecting words

Search-and-find books are great for enhancing a child’s observational skills and language development. When a child points at an object, their instinct is to name it. Little children particularly enjoy repetition, so when they ask to read this book again and again (and again), they're beginning to build up that all-important language bank.

Meet the illustrator

Manola Caprini has been drawing since she could talk. Born in Italy, her work zings with the kind of vibrancy that could only be produced by someone whose heritage is soaked in Mediterranean colour. The detail, the vivid colour choices, the delightful "busyness" of her work is exactly why we chose her to bring this story to life.

I love to read this with my son. It reminds me of the Eye Spy books I had growing up. He loves looking for things and is so excited to look and find himself!

Noah spends ages looking at the cars and trucks on the busy town page. He likes to count the cars and show them to his brother!

Bought for my 3-year-old niece for her birthday. She loved just "reading" it and finding all the items.

There's so much to look at on each page. I feel like it's helped Michael talk too because I ask him to say the words of what he points to.
